High Tech

June 22nd, 2010

Another rambling, aimless loop with the Tweak Bench peach synth, and some of the FL studio stuff. I didn’t have any concept in mind when I started. I just gotta do these every once in a while to see what happens.
Also I’m working on a special project that I’ll post here when it’s finished.

someday i’m going to have to take this seriously

Fishy Squares

February 22nd, 2010

This is down with Triforce again and also Peach. Peach is a little different than triforce because it has a tone bank rather than just the square and triangle, but it’s still trying to be NES sounding. This is a more straight-forward tonal thing with cheep arpeggiated chords. Oh well.

Lumpy Squares

February 7th, 2010

I’m trying out the tweakbench Triforce plug-in. It does nintendo-y synth sounds with simple wav patterns. Here is a little experiment.

Space Disco

December 5th, 2009

I found an old MIDI file in one of my archive folders called spacedisco.mid. I don’t really remember what it was for but it just has drums, bass and a simple instrument part so I think I meant to play guitar over it. I opened it in Tracktion, and applied fake instruments to the MIDI [...]

Karma Police
Here’s an instrumental cover of Karma Police made using Mario Paint Composer. Enjoy!
Also, I’m new posting, so if anyone has any pro-tips (like how to embed the audio dealy) then I’d love to hear it.

Epic Table Sawing

October 12th, 2009

The clock is ticking! Can our hero trim enough two-by-fours to stop the evil villain? Will he discover the secret of the mitre-joint in time to save the day?
This track is just a bunch of fruity loops synth presets dropped in a simple arrangement.

Pulling a pint.

October 2nd, 2009

Oooo. I got one.  ahem:
This is a track
I started way back…
a-way-back-back-a-wiggity-whack.
(dig it)
but my patience diminished
and so I never did-a-dip-done-done finished.
(I ,like, totally got hung up man. It’s crazy.)

So I had this idea for a concept piece to do in fruity loops. It would be like Camille saint-saens’ Carnival of Animals except about  beer instead of [...]

I just saw Nausicaa: the Valley of the Wind for the first time, a few weeks ago. It’s one of those Miyazaki movies. Big budget animated feature. Awesome movie. The animation is a bit more primitive than some of his later films but still pretty amazing. I don’t usually do this kind of thing lately, [...]

It’s been a while since I posted, but I had the whole day to myself Saturday and nothing to do, so what better opportunity to make a song This is my second song I made using logic. I had fun making it. No instruments were [...]
