This isn’t really a proper Hellagem, but I figured I’d offer you a crumb from the Game Boy Advance game I’m working on. I threw this music together very quickly.

The game will involve this marshmallow man jumping around a young boy’s gums and attempting to kill all of the teeth in his mouth. When you kill them all with your marshmallow gun, you win. Tooth decay, yay!

Spent a little more time working on this than the last one, I’ll admit. They say that if you don’t have anything nice to say, you shouldn’t say anything at all. This song’s kinda like that.

This is actually something I’ve (sort of) done before, but have been tempted to do several times. I’ve always loved songs like Sonic Youth’s “In The Kingdom 19″  or the Minutemen’s “Take 5, D” – songs with spoken word over them, or songs with found lyrics that have a weird poetry to them.

So that’s why I have thought occasionally about making songs from tweets.

Time to get this blog-party started again. I’m going to try and do as much music as I can at all times. Sometimes it will be a whack rap(?) about Avatar. Other times it might be a whack rap about something else. Maybe there won’t always be whack rapping. Hopefully someday there will be dope rapping. Maybe even dope rapping about the latest IMAX 3D blockbusters.

Sorry I missed last week. I’ve been fighting off a rude cold and did not feel like anything at all.

However well executed, this song is about being both unrealistically optimistic about a relationship and overprotective of your own space. My own space? I don’t know. I don’t know.

There just aren’t enough good Thanksgiving songs, are there?
